Isoflurane vaporizers available free of charge

The Division of Animal Resources owns 3 isoflurane vaporizers for use by Emory investigators free of charge.  These units are designed for use with small rodents only.  One unit is housed permanently in L32 Whitehead, a space dedicated to rodent surgery.  2 other units are portable and can be used in lab space for procedures described in an approved IACUC protocol.  In the case of the portable units, the user is responsible for providing the isoflurane and oxygen supply.  In L32 Whitehead, the user must provide only isoflurane.  Additionally, a circulating water blanket, hot bead sterilizer, scrub material, and surgical drape material is provided in L32.

For details about using any of these resources, please contact David McDaniel at 7-3685.
