Routine and Special Services

The DAR veterinary staff may be scheduled to provide services in support of research on a fee-for-service basis.  Examples of provided technical services include administration of medication/research substances, euthanasia, anesthesia services in support of special imaging procedures (i.e., MRI, PET Scan), post-operative care of surgical cases, and shipment of rodents to other institutions.

Scheduling Resources

Services can be scheduled by calling the DAR veterinary medical secretary at 404-727-3248 during normal business hours. While the DAR will make every effort to meet investigator needs, the provision of service is dependent upon the availability and skills of personnel.  Investigators are encouraged to schedule services far in advance of need.  Services are provided on a fee-for-service basis.
